Metaphysical Properties of Aqua Obsidian: Aqua Blue Obsidian, also known to some as a form of Aqua Aura, is the result of volcanic lava coming in contact with water. Often the lava pours into a lake or ocean and is cooled quickly. This process produces a glassy texture in the resulting rock. It is the Protector Stone and one of the first stones used in ancient weapons. This gem has a strong connection to the water and all things aquatic.
